The US' Austerity in Charts -- Or, "Where is the Government Takeover Again?"

This chart is from Krugman:

This is actually pretty important - and it's a point we've made a few times.  A big reason for the high unemployment rate is the cut in government jobs, especially at the state and local level.  As Krugman notes:

If public employment had grown the way it did under Bush, we’d have 1.3 million more government workers, and probably an unemployment rate of 7 percent or less.

What a vague and bogus chart. Bet this includes star and municipal workers of which Mr Obama has little control. Mr Krugman, please publish clear and accurate data.

Right-wing hicks seem to often have this psychological defense mechanism whereby any chart that contradicts their brainwashed political beliefs is immediately dismissed as "biased". I've seen it before.

Liz......Liberals can believe just about anything. Talk about brainwashing. Just because someone tosses out a chart, you should blindly believe? I am not biased. Just questioning data as an Engineer.

We all need to ask good questions. Questions lead...answers follow

I'm not blindly believing. You're blindly disbelieving. Let's see some figures from you instead.
